Bio

Dr. Scott attended SUNY Stony Brook where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa.

He went on to get his dental degree at Columbia University in New York City. 

Afterward, he did a general practice residency at Kings County Medical Center. Then he did a one-year fellowship at SUNY Stony Brook’s Dental Care for the Developmentally Disabled.

To serve his country better, Dr. Scott entered the United States Air Force in the rank of captain and was stationed at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia for 5 years.

He was deployed during Operation Desert Storm Desert Shield and was awarded several medals.   


Because of a lifelong dream of working with children, he left the Air Force and went back to school at the University of Connecticut to get his certificate in pediatric dentistry.


While there, he did two additional fellowships.

He received a certificate in treating children with craniofacial disorders from the University of Connecticut and a certificate from Yale University for treating children in a hospital.

He also served as chief resident.

Dr. Scott re-entered the military in the rank of major and was stationed at Misawa Air Base, Japan and Travis Air Force Base, California.

He was chief of pediatric dentistry at both and was a member of the teaching staff at Travis Air Force Base.

He worked in a private practice as an associate for a while before opening his own pediatric dental practice, Pediatric Dentistry of Long Island in Medford.   

He treats infants, children, teenagers, and children with developmental disabilities. He is also on staff at St. Charles Hospital where he helps train new dentists.

His favorite activities include technology, reading, and raising fish.
